A Multi-Million pound investment.

The re-mastering of Queen Mary 2 involved much more than the impressive interior redesigns of the flagship's spaces - it was the most significant refit for Queen Mary 2, ever.

Enhanced menus, new dining concepts, new brand partnerships, new retail offerings and refreshed entertainment experiences all make their debut on the remastered Queeen Mary 2 in advance of rolling out across the fleet.
It's a proud continuation of Cunard's unique legacy of luxury ocean travel.

One of the features of Queen Mary 2 Remastered is the elevation of the experience the flagship offers for every one of her guests. When Cunard focused their attention to the accommodation on board, they did so for the comfort of everyone.
Their 172 Queens Grill and Princess Grill Suites have rated among the very finest at sea fur as long as Queen Mary 2 has sailed the oceans. Even so, Cunard still wished to elevate their sophistication to ever-higher standards, so they reconfigured and restyled each and every one, while all the exclusive benefits, naturally, remain unchanged.
For Britannia guests Cunard are offering not only heightened elegance, but an extra level of choice too. They've extended the Britannia Club concept with the addition of 30 more Britannia Club Balcony staterooms, and introduced 15 single staterooms for the first time on the flagship.

Just as families are holidaying across the generations, pets are increasingly seen as integral to the family group. Queen Mary 2 is already the only cruise liner in the world to offer dedicated kennels on each Transatlantic crossing. To meet strong demand a further twelve kennels have been created for four-legged travellers.

Cunard Cruises - new accommodation

Queens Grill and Princess Grill Suites.

The Queens Grill and Princess Grill Suites have now undergone a complete makeover, all with the utmost care and consideration. Cunard begand by reconfiguring their layout, to maximise every inch and ensure each feels more spacious when you step through the door.
Against backdrops of calming, understated tones and new neutral hues, you'll find hints of traditional Cunard blues and reds. Cunard's finest suites at sea see new curtains, sofas, chairs, lamps, soft furnishings and headboards, as well as upgraded technology. Elegant textures throughout include specially commissioned carpets whose designs draw inspiration from the rugs on the original Queen Mary.
What's more, exclusive artwork adorns the walls, with bespoke architectural photographs that showcase the beauty, history and scale of iconic Cunard buildings around the world.

Britannia Club and Britannia.

They have extended the Britannia Club concept with the addition fo 30 new Balcony staterooms on deck 13. This means more spacious staterooms in prime locations, roomy balconies, the run of the sumptuous pillow concierge menu and the freedom to dine whenever you choose in the dedicated Britannia Club restaurant.
In fact, all existing Britannia Club Balcony accommodation has benefitted from new décor. Softer colour tones on the walls enhance the feeling of space, with imperial blue and antiqued gold highlights on the soft furnishings while, here too, contemorary carpet patterns reflect the geometric designs seen of the original Queen Mary.
Cunard haven't stopped there... Half of the existing Britannia Balcony staterooms have been refurbished and all staterooms now have new flat screen HDTVs. By the end of 2016, all remaining Britannia staterooms will have been refurbished to feature the new Britannia interior design scheme.

Britannia Single staterooms.

Should you wish to travel alone, Cunard are proud to unveil an entirely new class of Britannia accommodation for Queen Mary 2. Fifteen brand new Single staterooms, the first ever to feature on the flagship, that are decorated with the same enhanced designs.
Nine occupy the port side of deck 2, all with higher ceilings that feature an illuminated coffered design. Six more are located on deck 3L and their most innovative, striking and characterful design aspects are the two circular windows, with bench seat cushions to help you admire the views, and a central dressing console table.
Naturally, stepping on baord by yourself is more than a question of single accommodation. You'll find more ways to meet similar people than you thought possible. Friendships and conversation may bloom over organised coffee mornings and extend into a host of sociable activities, classes, sports and games throughout the day. After all, the flagship's version of travelling alone is to ensure you're always in wonderful company.

A flavour of Cunard's remastered flagship.

Cunard's reputation for serving excellent cuisine in exceptional venues is second to none. That's no reason for them to rest on their laurels. Queen Mary 2's refurbishment has been the perfect opportunity to craft exciting, inventive new menus to complement the surroundings - and even create brand new venues.
You'll find tasty surprises and additions all over the ship. That starts with the simple luxury of tea and coffee making facilities in every stateroom, and extends into the new menu choices throughout the Grills Restaurants, Kings Court, the Golden Lion pub and the Commodore Club. They've even added little flourishes and improvements to their Champagne Afternoon Tea, while the Carinthia Lounge and The Verandah - names steeped in Cunard legend - are opening their doors for the first time on board Queen Mary 2. In the new Tasting Room, experts will guide you through a wide selection of fine wines in sessions that range from blind tastings to features on particular acclaimed wine producers.

Queens Grill and Princess Grill restaurants.

To step in to Queen Mary 2's award-winning Queens Grill and Princess Grill restaurants has long been a moment of anticipation. Today, you'll find that the pinnacle of fine dining at sea has risen to exceptional new levels. Cunard have carefully redeisgned both restaurants so that they include more highly sought-after tables for two.
The restaurants have a refreshed, elegant décor. The Queens Grill restaurant is calmly resplendent in reds and creams, whilst the Princess Grill restaurant is adorned with bold blue tones. Both have new furntiure, carpets, window dressings, lighting and feature design displays - while dishes are beatifully presented on a new chinaware range.
Needless to say, the cuisine itself will continue to exceed expectations. Contemporary daily table d'hôte and à la carte menus blend specially created dishes and Cunard classics. As ever, their flawless White Star Service will underpin the entire experience, ensuring that the Grills restaurants will maintain, and indeed enhance, their status as two of the finest dining venues at sea.

Kings Court.

Cunard have worked closely with guests and Queen Mary 2's galley team to improve one of the most frequented dining venues on the flagship. By redesigning the central self-service buffet area, they have achieved a more intuitive flow, and have also improved the seating layout. To enhance the service in Kings Court, all the tables will be conveniently pre-set, waiters will serve you drinks and you will enjoy the Cunard chefs; taking centre stage as they guide you through exciting cooking demonstrations.
Bright and fresh finishes complement the design, adding a dash of grandeur. Art Deco inspired chandeliers and striking artworks create gentle drama, while areas of warm timber flooring and the use of mirrors accentuate the ocean view.
New hot and cold buffet offerings promise more than 80 new lunch dishes and over 50 new dinner dishes with a greater selection for seafood lovers. The popular Chef's Galley area, serving Italian pastas and pizza for lunch, will also offer a Chef's Table tasting menu on selected evenings. Hosted by the Executive Chef, the Chef's Table will offer guests the opportunity to hear insights and recipe tips while enjoying a tasting menu expertly paired with fine wines.
Each evening, one area will host speciality dining on a rotating menu, available at a surcharge. These are the Italian La Piazza, the Indian Coriander, Bamboo with its pan-Asian menu, the Mexican flavours of Aztec, and the brand new Smokehouse, a contemporary interpretation of the classic American barbecue.

Carinthia Lounge.

On Cunard's ships, you'll always find a favourite place, and Cunard believe for many on Queen Mary 2, this will be Carinthia Lounge on deck 7. lt is a name in which they take great pride, having been carried by no fewer than four of their ships. While warm and contemporary, Cunard feel that this venue will have a timeless appeal- an ideal spot to catch up with friends or to escape with a good book. Its location is also perfect for unwinding after an exhilarating treatment at the Canyon Ranch Spa Club® next door.
Over the course of the day, this serene, friendly and sociable venue will serve light breakfasts and lunch dishes. Speciality teas and Illy coffees will also be served all through the day, with a new patisserie to tempt your indulgent side.
A fresh colour palette combining powder blue, cream and gold sets a refined tone, enhanced with versatile seating that includes dining chairs and tables as well as chic curved lounge seating under decorative lights. When the sun goes down, the Carinthia Lounge will become an elegant evening destination, where you can enjoy Iberian wines by the glass and small plates together with relaxed entertainment. Carinthia Lounge will proudly showcase the finest collection of Port at sea - with vintages linking to milestones in Cunard's history - dating back to an exceptionally rare 1840.

Cunard Cruises - new restaurants

The Verandah.

Already popular on Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria, The Verandah restaurant now makes its debut on the flagship, as the formal alternative dining venue.
The originai Verandah Grill on Queen Mary was nothing short of legendary in its day, frequented by equally well-known names, from Winston Churchill to Elizbeth Taylor. This outstanding new restaurant takes many of its visual echoes from its predecessor, not least the tasteful circus-themed artwork and a black geometric carpet design.
The Verandah is a celebration of fine contemporary cuisine from southern France. lt evokes the special personality and fiavour of different regions, on menus crafted using delicious seasonal produce. The Verandah is available for lunch or dinner reservations at a surcharge, and it even has its own bar, where you are welcome to socialise before or after this exquisite dining experience.

A sense of history beneath your feet.

You'll notice one particular feature of Queen Mary 2 Remastered with almost every step you take on board. Cunard have introduced swathes of new carpet, across more than 40,000 square metres of the bars, lounges, restaurants, suites and staterooms. Each pattern and every detail has been specially designed and produced by renowned British carpet manufacturers, to add a new level of luxury and sophistication to the flagship.
Some carpets feature exclusive designs that echo the original Queen Mary. For example, each of the new Queens Grill Suites incorporate a circular design first seen in Queen Mary's original first-class suites.

Restocking the cellar.

When it comes to selecting the perfect wine to complement each exceptional dining occasion, you're now even more spoilt for choice. Cunard have expanded their impressive fine wine list to incorporate 486 wines from 23 countries.
You'll also have plenty of opportunity to explore this extended selection thanks to the new Coravin™ wine pouring system. This allows Cunard to offer you these exceptional wines by the glass while keeping the remaining contents perfectly preserved. The port connoisseurs among you are in for a treat too, thanks to a special collection of 46 varieties served in the Carinthia Lounge. Carefully curated by the bar team, these reflect important years across Cunard's history.

Introducing iconic brands on board.

Courtesy of a richly rewarding new partnership, Illy coffee will now be served on all three ships. World-class chocolatier, Godiva, will also feature at Sir Samuel's on Queen Mary 2, where you can choose from a selection of individual chocolates or even an indulgent chocolate fondue.
The Mayfair Shops combine prestigious brands whose heritage and reputation is recognised the world over. You can browse for designer bags and accessories at Aspinal of London, Michael Kors, Furla and Locharron of Scotland. You'll find Mont Blanc pens, Chopard sunglasses and watches by Omega. Longines, Tag Heuer and Tissot. Leading fashion names include Barbour, Ted Baker and Ralph Lauren while Pandora and H-Stern are among the high-end jewellers. Delivering these brands with our White Star Service, Cunard have created a shopping environment that is as distinctive as Cunard itself.
