Cunard is delighted to offer you the opportunity to celebrate World Space Week with a special space-themed Transatlantic Crossing. Acclaimed experts from many fields - including astronauts, scientists and Royal Astronomical Society members - will join you to present and discuss all aspects of space and its exploration. In addition to new space shows in Illuminations, the world's only Planetarium at Sea, anyone who has enjoyed a clear night mid-Atlantic will attest to Queen Mary 2 being the perfect venue to stargaze - away from light and air pollution.
A regular favourite in the calendar, the National Symphony Orchestra joins Queen Mary 2 in 2019 for the wonderful Last Night of the Cunard Proms. Cunard also welcome back Anthony Inglis who will continue to conduct on this special crossing.During the crossing the NSO will run open rehearsals so you’ll be able to watch them prepare for their two main performances in the Royal Court Theatre – an evening of American themed numbers and the Last Night of the Cunard Proms itself. You’ll have the opportunity to talk to members of the orchestra after rehearsals and there will be a Q&A session with Anthony Inglis.
Tutus and pointe shoes at the ready, the renowned English National Ballet joins Cunard on board for the first time ever, in a very special voyage that celebrates the world of dance. This Transatlantic Crossing will offer an up-close and personal perspective of the elegant magic the English National Ballet creates on stage - and the effort that goes into it. Watch six English National Ballet dancers run through their ardent ballet class every morning in the Ballroom; drop in on their rehearsals as they practice classical steps and work on new choreography; and of course enjoy the end result, their graceful performance in Queen Mary 2's Royal Court Theatre. Take part in dance workshops throughout the week with a fantastic opportunity to experience the joy of dancing and to learn from professionals.
In 2019, Queen Mary 2 will depart during the peak summer season in July and sail Eastbound from New York to Southampton. Cunard will be welcoming on board one of the world’s most radical designers, British milliner Stephen Jones, and American model and author, Pat Cleveland, along with emerging new designers from some of the world’s leading fashion colleges.

You will have the opportunity to join the Cunard Wine Academy where guests can elect to take the Wines and Spirits Education Trust Level 1 as well as experience Cunard's new wine pouring Coravin system. Queen Elizabeth is delighted to once again host this spectacular event for dance and music lovers everywhere in 2019. The magnificent Queens Room ballroom will play host to an unforgettable ‘Big Band Ball’ with an 18 piece Big Band - the biggest band of the year for Queen Elizabeth. Dance the night away to the wonderful sounds of trumpets, trombones, saxophones, rhythm sections.and vocalists specialising in the Big Band and Swing era.
Guests will have the chance to meet three-time Grand Prix World Champion, Sir Jackie Stewart. While on board Sir Jackie Stewart will host a ‘Life in Formula One’ talk, sign copies of his DVD and take part in a Q&A session.
