The initial route out from Southampton to Australia in January will follow the classic line voyage routing via Cape Town and Fremantle to Melbourne. The voyage will take in the Atlantic Islands and Namibia on the way to South Africa and visits the Indian Ocean islands of Reunion and Mauritius en route to Australia, where Queen Elizabeth will call at Fremantle, Busselton and Adelaide before arriving in her first home port of Melbourne. From Melbourne, Queen Elizabeth will travel north to Japan via the Solomon Sea and the Philippines. The voyage will include the Australian ports of Sydney and Brisbane, before travelling to Alotau and Rabaul in Papua New Guinea, and Boracay and Manila in the Philippines. Following the period of dedicated Japan cruises, the ship will cross the North Pacific and Gulf of Alaska en route to Vancouver. This voyage will take in northern Japan, the remote and stunning Russian district of Sakhalin on the way to Alaska and British Colombia. Queen Elizabeth will undertake her first ever Alaskan voyage and this will also be the first time Cunard has cruised in Alaskan waters in over 20 years.
Queen Mary 2's journey begins with a voyage to the Arabian Gulf via the Mediterranean Sea and the Suez Canal. From there, Queen Mary 2 will cross the Indian Ocean and enter Asia via the well-travelled Malacca straits. Following this, she will travel north via Malaysia and Hong Kong towards China, stretching as far as Beijing before turning homeward. The return journey to Southampton will call at ports in Korea, Vietnam and India as well as an alternate selection of destinations in the Indian Ocean and Mediterranean.
Queen Victoria will operate Cunard’s only true World Voyage in 2019 and will stick to the most popular routing - the classic Western Circumnavigation via the Panama Canal. The circumnavigation will begin by crossing the Atlantic to Florida via the Atlantic Islands, followed by a Caribbean and Trans-Panama segment. Queen Victoria will then cross the Pacific via Hawaii and Samoa to New Zealand. From there she will take in Sydney, Australia’s Gold Coast and Great Barrier Reef before travelling to Hong Kong via Darwin and Vietnam. Following the visit to Asia, Queen Victoria will return to Southampton via Singapore, the Indian Ocean and South Africa.
